Frequently Asked Questions

-What do you require for booking and how quickly do I need to book?

I require a non-refundable retainer and signed contract in order to book. The retainer is 50% of the total of wedding day services/fees and will be applied to your total balance. I book anywhere from 3 to 15 months out, with Saturdays being booked out the furthest. Bookings are on a first come-first serve basis, so the sooner you secure your date, the better!

-Do you work solo or do you bring a team?

I will work alone if I am able to accommodate all hair and/or makeup services within the given time frame on the wedding day. Otherwise, I will bring on additional hair and/or makeup artists to make sure I can get you and your bridal party ready in a timely fashion.

-What brand(s) of makeup do you use?

I use whatever is of the best quality and gives me and my clients beautiful results. You'll find everything from Makeup Forever, MAC and NARS to pro brands such as Face Atelier, RCMA, Kevyn Aucoin, Viseart, Senna, and more!

-Do you offer airbrush makeup? Do you provide lashes?

I use Temptu brand airbrush makeup and it delivers beautiful results. I highly recommend false lashes and they are complimentary with every makeup application.

-How long does hair/makeup usually take?

For trials I like to allow at least 1.5 hours per service so we can discuss your vision, wedding day details, look at inspiration photos, and work through a couple looks to determine the perfect look for you! On the wedding day I plan for about 30-40 minutes for attendant's hair, 40-45 minutes for makeup, and 1 hour per service for the bride. Each person's chosen look may take more or less time, so we always quote a bit more time so no one is ever rushed.

-Do you work on location or do I come to you?

Trials are typically held in my in home studio in midtown Tulsa, or in a rented studio space in Broken Arrow. While all weddings are on location, weddings outside of the Tulsa area will incur a travel fee based on drive time + distance.

-Do you recommend getting hair extensions?

This is something we will determine for sure at your trial, but if you have fine or short hair, and you want a style (either up or down) that is full, thick, long, and luscious, then your results will be much better with extensions. Extensions are also a great option if your hair doesn't hold curl well. Just make sure they're 100% human hair!!

-My bridesmaids are paying for their own services, will you collect payment from them separately?

Because I require 50% of the service total to book and the remainder 2 weeks prior to the wedding day, I collect payment only from the bride (or responsible party). There are a few reasons I do this but the biggest one is that it makes it so much easier on everyone! My brides typically ask their bridesmaids to pay them personally either before or after the wedding day. This way no one has to run to find cash or a check after a few mimosas!

-Will my makeup last through crying, sweating, etc?

I use long wearing (and waterproof/resistant) products and seal it all with setting spray! The only touch ups you may need would be a little powder (if you tend to get oily) and a bit of lipstick.
